After months on the spot, the Sonko case has just been suddenly relaunched in Senegal. The opponent will be heard by the investigating judge Oumar Maham Diallo, Thursday November 3 at noon. This will be his first hearing on the merits, almost two years after Adji Sarr, who accuses him of rape and death threats, filed a complaint against him on February 2, 2021.
The opponent’s first summons had come to an end, au March 2021: arrested on his way to court, Ousmane Sonko had been accused of “disturbing public order” and placed in police custody. His incarceration had led to several days of violence and claimed at least 14 victims.
