Shortly before his transfer, in August 2020, from a prison in Algiers to the penitentiary establishment of Tazoult (ex-Lambèse), in the east of the country, the former boss of bosses had received in his cell an emissary of the power to collect his wishes with a view to opening talks on his property and assets. “I am ready to negotiate”, he had indicated to this intermediary, who no longer resumed contact with him.
