In order to deal with the resurgence of terrorist attacks, Lieutenant-Colonel Paul-Henri Damiba will first redeploy the Burkinabè soldiers. According to a senior official, new entities military will be set up in Boromo or Kongoussi. The dissolution of certain units, such as the central grouping of the armies based at the Guillaume Ouédraogo camp, in Ouagadougou, has been recorded. Their men will therefore be reassigned. New structures, including two infantry regimes, will moreover be created in order to allow a better territorial network.
