According to the leaders of the main Senegalese parties, everyone has won. Since this Sunday, July 31 in the evening, in fact, the representatives of the three main movements of the opposition or the majority have successively claimed to have won the legislative elections of this day. Aminata “Mimi” Touré, the national candidate of the presidential coalition, assured it on the evening of the poll. At the same time, Barthélémy Dias (mayor of Dakar, and one of the leaders of Yewwi Askan Wi – YAW) paraded through Dakar, believing his also snatched the victory.
As for Karim Wade, since his exile in Doha, he brought his stone to the building on August 3, assuring that the inter-coalition of the opposition, made up of Wallu Senegal and YAW, could be considered victorious.
Much ado about nothing, therefore, since, so far, the results have not yet been officially proclaimed.
