Another twist in the legal trenches fight that has opposed the wealthy Lebanese entrepreneur Mohsen Hojeij, boss of Commisimpex, to the Congolese state for 22 years.

By judgment dated October 12, the judicial court of Bordeaux ordered to suspend the auction of the presidential plane Falcon 7X of Denis Sassou Nguesso, immobilized since June 2020 at Mérignac airport, following a request from Commisimpex. A decision against which the Congolese party had appealed in cassation.

Mohsen Hojeij demands from the Brazzaville government the settlement of construction contracts obtained by his company in Congo between 1984 and 1986 – which contracts would have been only partially executed, according to the Congolese side. Under an award, rendered in June 2013 by the Paris Arbitral Tribunal under the aegis of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce, the Congolese government was ordered to pay Commisimpex the sum of 223 million. euros.
