Industry: Increase of 11.347 billion FCFA in the turnover of Nestlé Côte d’Ivoire in the first half of 2021

The turnover of Nestlé Côte d’Ivoire, a subsidiary of the Nestlé group and specializing in the manufacture of food products, increased by 11.347 billion FCFA (17.020 million euros) in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, the executives of this Abidjan-based company announced.

This turnover stood at 98.793 billion FCFA against 87.446 billion FCFA in the first half of 2020, an increase of 12.98%.

For its part, operating income increased by 62.52%, from 10.118 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2020 to 16.444 billion FCFA a year later.< Cette augmentation est essentiellement marquée par la hausse du chiffre d’affaires, la productivité et l’efficience de nos lignes de production dans nos deux usines ainsi que la maitrise des coûts au siège, au centre de distribution et dans nos usines>>, say the leaders of Nestlé Côte d’Ivoire.

The same upward trend is noted concerning the result of ordinary activities which stands at 14.760 billion FCFA against 8.621 billion FCFA in the first half of 2020 (+ 71.21%).

As for the net result, it increased by 3.59% to 11.156 billion FCFA against 10.770 billion FCFA as of June 30, 2020.

What about the outlook for the company? On this point, Nestlé Côte d’Ivoire officials argue that< grâce à une innovation rapide, à un solide soutien aux marques et à une gestion rigoureuse du portefeuille clients, nos prévisions de chiffre d’affaires pour le dernier semestre sont en augmentation par rapport à la même période de l’année dernière.>> They add that despite the increase in the prices of raw materials, packaging and transport, the financial results expected on December 31, 2021 should follow in the wake of the performances recorded during the previous financial year and in line with their strategy.
