Convenience stores in Colorado are one step closer to being able to sell full strength beer. It marks
the first time a bill loosening beer laws has ever passed out of a committee. The house business
affairs and labor committee cleared the measure on a 7 to 4 vote, after hours of debate and
objections from the craft brewing industry, and independent liquor stores who say it could put them
out of business. Bente (BEN tuh) Birkeland reports from the statehouse. [SOQ includes underwriting] |
